Before graduation, Lottie secured a job working for Rough Guides.
Within two years, she worked her way up to become web editor and was responsible for managing the social media channels, editing content and commissioning freelance writers. During her time in post, the site’s monthly unique users rose from 600,000 to nearly 2 million.
Lottie left Rough Guides to join a small digital publisher, Love Inc, where she helped to launch a profitable travel website which now attracts more than 150,000 users a month.
Now working as a freelancer, Lottie’s work has featured on BBC Radio 4 and in The Telegraph and National Geographic Traveller.
She also now runs a newsletter designed to help other travel writers get further in their careers.

What their colleagues say
“Travel writing is an extremely competitive and often cut-throat industry, but Lottie rose immediately to the top, landing a much-coveted job within a very short time of graduating. The fact that Lottie was in this position so early in her career says more about her than I can and is a testament to her talent as a writer and editor but also to her tenacity, determination and professionalism.â€
