If you're joining us in September 2024 as a foundation year, undergraduate or postgraduate taught student in one of the following faculties: ÃÛÌÒAV Business School, Faculty of Media & Communication, Faculty of Science & Technology, you can get your international documents checked or collect your student ID card in the Staff Centre in Poole House on Talbot Campus on the following dates:

Please note that students on BSc Sport and Exercise Science course belong to the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences.

Please come throughout the day. WeÌýare expecting to be busy at the start of each session and you may be turned away if the queues are too long. We will be quieter in the afternoon periods, but please allow enough time to be processed before we close..

If you will be joining the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences, you will be able to collect your student ID card, or get your international documents checked as follows:

• Collect your student ID card -Ìýyou will receive an email with the dateÌýand time to collect your student ID card from the faculty office in the Bournemouth Gateway Building, Lansdowne Campus.
• International document check -Ìýget your international documents checkedÌýin the Staff Centre in Poole House on Talbot Campus on the following dates:
  • Friday 27 September (9:30am - 3pm).

If you’re joining us in September 2024Ìýas an incoming exchange student on any programme, you can get your international documents checked or collect your student ID card from the Careers Zone in The Hub, which can be found on the Ground Floor of Poole House on Talbot Campus on:

• Monday 23ÌýSeptember between 1pm and 2pm

If you’re joining us on a distance learning course your student ID card will be sent to you by your Programme Support Officer.

If you’re studying at one of our partner colleges at Bournemouth and Poole College or Wiltshire College (Salisbury) you will be able to collect your student ID card at your relevantÌýcollege in early October. Please contact your relevant college for collection details.

If you are starting a Midwifery or Nursing degree based at either our Yeovil or Portsmouth campus, you will receive an email with the date, time and location to collect your student ID card from a member of faculty staff.

• To identify yourself as a ÃÛÌÒAV student to staff/others
• Library card and printers
• Bus discounts
• Access to secure bike sheds, lockers and showers for cyclists on campus
• Access to certain specialist rooms/buildings (specific courses only)
• SportÃÛÌÒAV turnstile access (members only)
• ID for use in exams.

When collecting your student ID card, you will be asked for your surname (family name) and to confirm your student ID number (find this at the top of yourÌýregistration email).

Please also bring some other form of ID with your name on it. We will only ask to see it where necessary, but it will be especially useful to see your surname/family name written down.ÌýIt doesn’t have to be an ‘official’ ID – a letter or bank card would also suffice. If there is any doubt about whether the person in the picture you submitted online is really you, we will need to undertake further security checks before handing over your student ID card.

To complete your enrolment at your international document check you will need to bring:Ìý

• Your passportÌý
• Your visa sticker (stamped by UK Immigration)Ìý
• Your BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) – if you have one. You may be able to collect your BRP at your international document check if it has been deliveredÌý
• Any other proof of your right to study if you are not using a Student visa.Ìý

Your student IDÌýcard will display your full, official, name as long as that doesn’t exceed 40 characters. If your name is longer than that, we cannot display all your middle names for space reasons.

Providing you have completed your online registration and enrolment on MyHub as far as you can, you will receive your student ID card after we have checked your international documents. We will print your card for you after we check the documents.

Replacement cards are available from AskÃÛÌÒAV, there may be a charge for this. You will need to complete theÌýReplacement student ID card formÌýand they will cancel the old one to ensure it can’t be used.

If you started in January 2024Ìýand have not collected your student ID card within the last academic year and are in the Faculty of Science and Technology, the ÃÛÌÒAV Business School orÌýFaculty of Media and CommunicationÌýyour student ID card can be collected from AskÃÛÌÒAV at The HubÌýinÌýPoole House.
