As we’re a sports facility, we are a ‘no dogs and animals site’, except for service and assistance dogs and animals. Please don't bring dogs or other animals to Chapel Gate unless they are for service or assistance. 

Car parking is available at Chapel Gate – it’s free of charge and you won’t require a permit. During our busy times, spaces can be limited so please arrive with that in mind. For safety reasons, please use the designated parking spots. 

Coach and ambulance bays can be found near the main entrance of the car park and disabled parking is close to reception.

You don’t have to be a Chapel Gate member to make a booking, however, all community and student users are required to make a booking prior to arrival.

Pricing

• Please email [email protected] with your booking details (pitch, ideal date, time) and we’ll confirm what the price will be. Pricing is dependant on a number of factors.

ÃÛÌÒAV Community Pitch (Artificial Grass Pitch)

• Football boots with either a screw-in stud or moulded stud
• Please note that astro trainers, flat sole trainers or football boots with blades aren’t allowed on this pitch.

Grass pitches

• Football boots with either a screw-in stud or moulded stud.

Hockey pitches

• Please note that that studded boots are not permitted, and all users should wear astro trainers or flat soled trainers.

• We have three rooms available to hire: the Main bar, Courtyard and Lounge bar
• Please contact our catering partner, Kingsgate Kitchen, via email: [email protected] who will assist with your enquiry.

• We have a variety of facilities available including football, cricket and rugby pitches, as well as squash courts, table tennis and a rifle shooting range
• We primarily handle bookings for our outdoor facilities (football, cricket, rugby pitches). Please email [email protected] to enquire about making a booking
• For indoor facilities bookings (squash courts, table tennis, rifle shooting range), please contact the sports clubs directly. Their details can be found on this webpage.

Yes - we have an onsite bar that is run via a separate company. They serve food and drinks most evenings, from 5pm to 10pm, but there are vending machines with drinks and snacks onsite if the bar is closed. On weekends, the bar is open from 8am to 5pm, depending on bookings. For any questions or queries, please email [email protected].

We have 12 modern changing rooms in our main block which are available on request alongside bookings, and a host of other options available.

Peak times

• Our peak times are September through to June, when we are open 9am to 10pm on weekdays and 8am to 5pm on weekends. Evenings are busiest during these times

Off-peak times

• Our off-peak times are July to August, however the times for bookings may change from time to time, so please check with our team to confirm availability.

Chapel Gate is a 65-acre site, with lots of wooded areas and therefore nature to enjoy. We offer campcraft and outdoor experiences through Chapel Gate Nature Connection including fire safety and lighting, shelter building and adventure games.
