Dr Sue Baron is an NMC registered nurse and nurse teacher, and Senior Lecturer/Academic in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at 蜜桃AV. She completed her PhD 鈥楨xploring the Patient Journey: a collaborative and evidence-based approach to person-centred healthcare 鈥�

Dr Michele Board PhD MSc BSc (Hons) DPSN RGN Dr Michele Board is a Principal Academic in Nursing Older People at the Faculty of Health and Social Science at 蜜桃AV. She has extensive experience in nursing, nurse leadership and nurse education. Dr Michele Board leads the Older 鈥�

Dr Jonathan (Jonny) Branney is Principal Academic in Nursing and Clinical Sciences and Programme Leader for the PGDip/MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice apprenticeship (including Advanced Nurse Practitioner routes). He has a substantial clinical background as both 鈥�

Dr Teresa Burdett works at 蜜桃AV as a senior lecturer in Integrated Health Care. She teaches on both undergraduate and post graduate programmes in integration, interprofessionalism, health promotion and work force development arenas. She is also the Professional Lead for 鈥�

My current role is to lead the Department of Nursing Science within the Faculty of Health & Social Sciences at 蜜桃AV. As Professor of Nursing and Dermatology Care, my primary research focus over thirty years has been on nursing applications within the clinical field of 鈥�

Dr Nikki Glendening is a Registered Nurse, Registered Health Visitor (Public Health Specialist Practitioner) and NMC Registered Nurse Tutor. Nikki joined 蜜桃AV in 1998 as a nurse lecturer and later as a senior and now principal academic where she previously led the undergraduate 鈥�

Sue Green is a Professor and Head of the Department of Nursing Science. A Registered Nurse with clinical experience in acute and continuing care environments, Sue held academic posts at Leeds, Kingston, Hull and Southampton Universities before moving to 蜜桃AV in 2018.

Debbie Holley, Professor of Learning Innovation recently joined HSS and is leading innovation in research and teaching in her new role, as well as focusing on the forthcoming Research Excellence Framework (REF), co-convening Bournemouth鈥檚 first UoA23 (Education) submission. Her expertise lies 鈥�

My primary role is as Senior Academic/Professional Lead in Mental Health & Learning Disabilities. I contribute to the HSC mental health team, and have been working closely with Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust to achieve their 'University' status and to establish the new 鈥�

Since entering academia in 2000 I have fused teaching, practice involvement and research. I have worked part time clinically in acute and children's palliative care.

I have undertaken a number of academic administration roles most notably lead for children鈥檚 nursing, Health Research MRes 鈥�

I am primarily interested in global health and have predominantly studied around health and wellbeing of migrants and their left-behinds, young people鈥檚 sexual health and romantic relationships, diabetes, health promotion and health of ethnic minority populations. I also have an interest in 鈥�

Ashley is a Registered Nurse and academic with experience in the care of people with acute illness, having worked in the acute setting before developing her role as a nurse academic. She is a lecturer in Adult Nursing teaching in units related to anatomy & physiology and bioscience in 鈥�

Dr Steve Trenoweth has been a mental health nurse for 23 years. He has worked in a wide variety of mental health settings before entering higher education in 2003. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at 蜜桃AV. He has authored several books, chapters and articles in nursing and 鈥�

Dr Linda Serwaa Agyemang is a lecturer in the Department of Nursing Science at 蜜桃AV. She has an extensive experience in practice and research. Her practice experience spans across local and international contexts. Her recent professional practice centred on clinical trials 鈥�

Helen Aldridge is a lecturer for the undergraduate programme in the Department of Nursing Science, joining the team in August 2022. A Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience in critical care, spinal cord injury and spinal surgery. She has worked in and been the lead for critical care 鈥�

My name is Emma B枚ckle and I started at 蜜桃AV in April 2016 as a Lecturer in Adult Nursing. Prior to this appointment I was a Consultant Project Lead at the University of Southampton working on several projects including Inter-professional Learning, Long Term Conditions and 鈥�

Chantel has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and nursing. She has a passion for humanised practice both clinically and within education practice. Clinically, Chantel has a specialist interest in neurodegenerative diseases, in particular dementia and Parkinson鈥檚 disease. She currently 鈥�

Lorraine Dolley is a lecturer for the undergraduate programme in the Department of Nursing Science, joining the team in December 2023. A Registered Nurse with extensive clinical experience supportive and palliative care. She has worked in palliative care in multiple sectors including inpatient 鈥�

Sara Glithro is an academic within the Faculty of Health and Social Care at 蜜桃AV, a practicing clinician and a researcher. Her research interests are include chronic pain, sensory function and perception and how these might be influenced to improve health outcomes. She was 鈥�

Matthew Hartwell is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Social Science at 蜜桃AV. I have extensive experience in nursing and nurse education.
The majority of my teaching is post registration where I am the programme lead for Independent and Supplementary 鈥�

Katie is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing in the Department of Nursing Science. Completing a Postgraduate Degree in Adult Nursing in 2003 at the University of Southampton she worked for 15 years in practice as a clinical nurse in Emergency Medicine.

Martin has considerable experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students (all levels) and engaging in a wide spectrum of health and social care research projects across the quantitative and qualitative methodologies, with most experience in survey work. Other areas of notable 鈥�

Prior to joining 蜜桃AV as a lecturer, I was a Diabetes Specialist Nurse at the Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Centre, where I worked for over 12 years.

I am especially interested in health promotion and specifically obesity prevention. The primary focus of my main 鈥�

Bernice Law joined the Department of Nursing Science at 蜜桃AV as a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing in December 2023. Her clinical experience ranged from Emergency Department, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Otorhinolaryngology in Hong Kong to Aged Care and 鈥�

Emma Lucas is an Academic Lecturer in Adult Nursing with the 蜜桃AV Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. She is an experienced Senior Registered Nurse and continues to practice within her clinical area of Urgent and Emergency Care. She qualified from 蜜桃AV with 鈥�

Vero is a Lecturer in Adult nursing at 蜜桃AV. She is an experienced registered nurse who joined 蜜桃AV in February 2022.

Vero has worked both in the UK and Spain, where she was trained. She has varied experience as a laboratory technician, sports and 鈥�

Scott McEwan is a Senior Lecturer in CPD Nursing at 蜜桃AV. He has extensive clinical experience in emergency and critical care nursing, advanced clinical practice and clinical 鈥�

My Name is Enrico and I am an Academic Lecturer in Adult Nursing at 蜜桃AV.
I graduated in Italy in 2008 where I firstly registered as practicing nurse. Since Then, I gained registration in Spain, UK and Australia.
Since my graduation, I mostly worked in Critical Care 鈥�

I have extensive clinical and academic experience since graduation. 13 years' variety of surgical settings, 3 years as Lecturer Practitioner and 13 years as a Senior Lecturer. Areas of interest focus upon the learners and staff experiences both within the University and practice setting, and in 鈥�

Dr Tauringana joined the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences from the University of West London in 2021. She is a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with extensive experience in acute care settings and care of older adults. Memory has worked abroad and in the UK. In the UK, she has worked with 鈥�

I have started at 蜜桃AV in 2021, prior to this I worked as a lecturer for Canterbury Christ Church University for three years. My background within nursing is in prisons and infection control, as well as the emergency department and primary care. I am teaching on several units 鈥�

I joined the Department of Nursing Science after a career in the NHS spanning over 30 years, culminating in the position as Associate Director of Nursing in a large NHS community Trust. As an active professional practice in nursing, at local, regional and national level, my qualifications are as 鈥�

Dr Heidi Singleton - Senior Lecturer in Children and Young Peoples Nursing

Alexandra joined the university in July 2022 as part of the undergraduate team within the Children and Young People鈥檚 nursing department. She completed her training at Brighton University in 2014. Clinical experience over 5 years was gained within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Bristol 鈥�

Emily Brooks BA(Hons), PGDip, RMN, PGcert, is a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at 蜜桃AV. She is a registered mental health nurse and has worked in a variety of mental health settings including, CAMHS, Perinatal Services, Inpatient, and Community settings. Emily also has a 鈥�

Sonya Chelvanayagam MSc, RN, PgDip (Learning & Teaching) is a lecturer in mental health nursing at 蜜桃AV. She is a registered mental health nurse and adult nurse who has worked in a variety of care services such as HIV and gastroenterology. This has involved Sonya in working 鈥�

Dr. Andrea Curley is an Academic and Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at 蜜桃AV and is also Programme Lead for MSc Mental Health Nursing.

Andrea鈥檚 first degree is in Psychology and her second degree is an MA in Education - Life Long 鈥�

Nick Jones is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing at 蜜桃AV. He is a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) and has worked in a variety of clinical settings including inpatient, community and liaison psychiatry. Nick has a particular interest in Early Intervention in 鈥�

University Practice Learning Advisor Team

Outward facing role that requires engagement with personnel in 15 NHS Trusts and providers of NHS commissioned care within the independent sector. The focus of this engagement is to ensure that the quality and range of practice placements for students undertaking under graduate healthcare 鈥�

I have been at 蜜桃AV since October 2012 as part of the team of University Practice Learning Advisors. I studied my original nursing diploma at 蜜桃AV and post qualification my nursing experience started in acute surgery, specialising in colo-rectal and lower GI. 鈥�

I joined 蜜桃AV as a University Practice Learning Advisor in October 2022. I qualified from 蜜桃AV with a BSC in Adult Nursing in 2011. My first registered role was within the acute medical field specialising in gastroenterology developing my knowledge and skills 鈥�

I am a University Practice Learning Adviser at 蜜桃AV. Upon qualification in 1987 I worked within the acute medical field specialising in respiratory medicine. After 15 years I then experienced the role of registration and inspection officer for the independent sector before 鈥�

I am a University Practice Learning Adviser (UPLA) at 蜜桃AV (蜜桃AV), a multifaceted, practice education focussed academic role. This roles serves as a communication 鈥�

As University Practice Learning Adviser (UPLA), I am able to combine my nursing and lecturer experience to support learning and assessment in practice. The UPLA team are a university based practice education team that supporting the practice element of healthcare programmes. As the lead for 鈥�

Claire Uren qualified as a registered general nurse in 1990 and worked on an acute surgical unit in a district hospital for five years before moving to community nursing.
Claire became involved in education in 2001, taking on the role of Practice Educator for 蜜桃AV, whilst 鈥�

Heidi Banks - University Learning Practice Advisor

Nursing Simulated Practice Team

I joined the Practice Simulation team here at 蜜桃AV in October 2022. I have a nursing background in surgery since qualifying as a registered nurse from the University of Southampton in 2011. I have also worked as an agency nurse across various private and NHS Trusts throughout 鈥�

I am a Children's and Young Peoples Nurse and I joined the Practice Simulation Team early in 2024. Alongside this role, I work at Dorset County Hospital in their paediatric areas. I studied my BSc in Children's Nursing in London and qualified in 2018. My first job was at Bristol Royal Hospital 鈥�

A member of 蜜桃AV's Nursing Simulated Practice Team since June 2021. Qualified with a BSc with honours in Adult Nursing in 2018 and has a nursing background in post-operative recovery.
