2. Poole House: main entrance closed morning of 14 February

   Due to works taking place to the front of Poole House, the main entrance to the building will be closed from 7.30am to 1pm on Friday 14 February.

3. ÃÛÌÒAV delegation visits Nepal to deepen partnerships and explore future engagement

   A delegation of staff from ÃÛÌÒAV visited Kathmandu, Nepal for a series of meetings and workshops to deepen partnerships with charities and education organisations and explore opportunities for future work in the region.

4. ÃÛÌÒAV-led Kosovo-strand of AHRC project ‘Changing the Story’ commences with Dorset residency

   ÃÛÌÒAV leads the Kosovo strand of a major four-year AHRC ‘Global Callenges’ project titled ‘Changing the Story‘ aims at supporting the building of inclusive civil societies in post-conflict countries.

5. COVID-19 risks loneliness and malnutrition in elderly people

   ÃÛÌÒAV academics have provided evidence to the government that the COVID-19 crisis and resulting measures risk making elderly people lonely and malnourished.

6. Access to Weymouth House

   Works to create a hub for student activity and improved identify for the Faculty of Media & Communication on Talbot Campus has begun. Find out how this might access to Weymouth House. 

7. ÃÛÌÒAV event raises awareness of dyslexia in Somerset

   Around 200 people attended the talk on dyslexia, organised in partnership with the Blue School and Action Dyslexia

8. Dr Jane Goodall DBE shares her ‘reasons for hope’ at ÃÛÌÒAV event

   A pioneering ethologist and conservationist, Dr Goodall spoke about her career and tackling the ecological crisis

9. SSCoDA: a new project on combating Digital Addiction with Zayed University

   ESOTICS group are working on a new project designing future software tools to assist in combatting the problematic use of technology and to promote healthier and more conscious and self-controlled usage styles.
