1. Practice development: Facilitating positive cultural change in health and social care organisations

   ÃÛÌÒAV researchers developed practice development approaches that would work across a wide variety of health and social care settings.

2. Centre for Seldom Heard Voices

   The ÃÛÌÒAV Research Centre for Seldom Heard Voices brings together academics from across different disciplines including social sciences and social work to engage with marginalised communities and to amplify often excluded or silenced voices. 

3. Financial scams

   The National Centre for Post-Qualifying Social Work and Professional Practice (NCPQSWPP) is working in partnership with government and trade bodies to raise awareness of the scale of the problem and to gain a greater understanding of the reasons why people are drawn into a scam. 

4. Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Research Centre

   The interdisciplinary neuroscience research centre at ÃÛÌÒAV embodies laboratories in cognitive, social, systems and computational neuroscience, and cognitive neuropsychology from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Health and Social Sciences and collaborating institutions internationally.

5. Maltese Temples Landscape Project

   Investigating the development, social context, and landscape-setting of Malta’s Neolithic temples by focusing on the site of Skorba and its surroundings.

6. Gambling Research

   These projects include academics from the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Media and Communication.

7. Marginalised groups

   Exploring the experiences of individuals living with long-term conditions, with a particular focus on their health, wellbeing, and access to health and social care services.

8. MINE - Multimodal Immersive NEuro-sensing for natural neuro-behavioural measurement

   The MINE team are combining cognitive neuroscience, clinical and social psychology with virtual reality (VR) to develop new insights into understanding and changing people's behaviour.

9. Blindness and media engagement

   Run by Catalin Brylla, this project explores the engagement with digital media for improving physical, psychological, social and economic wellbeing in the visually impaired community.

10. Pride in our Workforce

    Working with the charity Energise Me, this project explored how the people working in physical activity, and their attitudes, affect the physical activity levels of LGBT+ people.
