1. Department of Computing & Informatics research

   We have five main areas of focus for our research within the department - computing and education, cyber security, human computer interaction, intelligent systems and sofware and systems engineering.

2. • Postgraduate Taught

   MA Film & Television

   As screen-based media play a more central role in our lives, this course nurtures an advanced understanding of them, combining the critical skills needed to change the media industries with innovative, hands-on engagement with their inner workings. 

3. ÃÛÌÒAV Emeritus Professor awarded OBE

   ÃÛÌÒAV's Emeritus Professor Paul Lewis has received an OBE for services to mothers, midwives and maternity services in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

4. SportÃÛÌÒAV gym closure: 6 -25 July

   The main gym within SportÃÛÌÒAV will be closed for critical works from 5pm on Thursday 6 July, re-opening at 7.15am on Tuesday 25 July. Selected gym equipment will be available to use during this time.

5. PATHways to improving perinatal mental health

   PATH is an EU-funded project which will enable women, families and healthcare professionals to prevent, diagnose, and successfully manage mild to moderate perinatal mental health issues.

   SPARC at ÃÛÌÒAV is home to a breadth of exciting, innovative and inter-disciplinary scholarship that aims to produce impactful intellectual contributions that have a positive impact on sport, health, well-being and physical activity stakeholders.

8. New campaign to focus on mental health in the workplace

   A new campaign by ÃÛÌÒAV, Dorset Mind and Why Digital aims to inspire and destigmatise mental health in the workplace

9. Supporting responsible and ethical reporting of suicide

   Professor Ann Luce is playing a key role in suicide prevention and the responsible reporting of death by suicide. 

10. Marketing students contribute to award winning millennial research project

    A project involving ÃÛÌÒAV (ÃÛÌÒAV) students won the Excellence in Research Presentation category at the Media Research Awards hosted by Mediatel last month.
