Welcome to our showcase of undergraduate student research. We are proud of the quality of our students’ research and each year our SURE (Showcasing Undergraduate Research Excellence) Conference provides an environment for students to share the outcomes of their work.
Over 100 students were set to present their work at SURE 2020, but the Covid-19 pandemic meant that the conference was unable to go ahead on-campus.
We are absolutely delighted to share with you a selection of work from students across our four faculties. The research reflects the huge variety of subjects our undergraduate students tackle and amply demonstrates students’ curiosity and research capability. We’ll keep this page published until our 2021 event so you can explore a sample of the work from SURE 2020. Some are presented as posters, others as presentations.
Our keynote speakers also share their reflections on research - Dr Shamal Faily offers 10 lessons for undergraduate research whilst Dr Paula Callus examines digital technology and gender.
Thank you to those of you who have allowed us to share your work as part of this SURE Showcase and we hope that this work will inspire future students to participate in SURE 2021.
