Dr. Feifei Xu is a professor and PhD supervisor in the Department of Landscape Architecture, School of Architecture, Southeast University, China. She is the Director of Centre for Ecotourism and Regional Development, Southeast University. Her research interests include national parks and protected areas, tourism landscape and recreation etc. Feifei has been a Principle Investigator in many research projects with funding sources from British academy, Chinese National Nature Science Foundation, World Animal Protection, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of People’s Republic of China, etc.. She has widely published in Tourism Management, Journal of Sustainable Tourism etc. with more than 100 papers by SSCI, CSSCI and Chinese key journals. She has also published 4 books in Chinese or English. Professor Xu sits on the Standing Committee of Chinese Association of Tourism Geography. She is a fellow of UK National Higher Education Academy, a fellow of Royal Geography Society (RGS). She is also the Vice President of the Provincial Tourism Society in Jiangsu.
She is the associate editor of “Tourism Review”, an editorial member of “Tourism Analysis”, “Protected Areas”, and “Tourism Science”. She has been awarded 3rd prize for excellent research by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of People’s Republic of China, 1st Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, 3rd prize of Nanjing Philosophy and Social Science. She has also been awarded best research paper awards. She is a winner of Outstanding Young Teacher Talent Program of Southeast University.
