If you wish to study abroad during your placement year, final year or at Master’s level, arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis. Speak to your Faculty’s Programme Leader or Global Engagement Lead/Study Abroad Academic Coordinator to discuss your options.

How to apply
To apply to the Study Exchange Programme in semester two (spring) in 2024/2025 academic year, you will need to .
Applications will be assessed on a first come, first served basis and will remain open until the 1Â September 2024. Apply early for a better chance of being able to select a space at your preferred location.
As part of the application process, you’ll need to tell us why this experience will benefit you and why you’d be a great ambassador for ÃÛÌÒAV. We will also need evidence of your current academic performance.
Funding opportunities
°Õ³ó±ðÌý°Õ³Ü°ù¾±²Ô²µÌý³§³¦³ó±ð³¾±ð at ÃÛÌÒAV supports study and work overseas opportunities globally. ÃÛÌÒAV has applied for Turing Scheme funding for the 2024/25 academic year to support international opportunities.Ìý Subject to our bid being successful, study exchange students will be able to receive Turing Scheme funding as a contribution to the costs of living overseas.Ìý
Being part of the Study Exchange Programme does not affect your eligibility to receive funding via Student Finance.
Thinking about volunteering, work experience or a placement abroad?
Turing Scheme at ÃÛÌÒAV funding is also available to support work experience, volunteering, or placement opportunities worldwide.
This is open to all ÃÛÌÒAV students (from any programme or level) and can include a placement undertaken as part of a placement year, voluntary work-based learning, short-term study, or a placement undertaken shortly after graduating. Funding is available to support ÃÛÌÒAV students with the costs associated with undertaking a placement overseas. You can find more information about the Turing Scheme at ÃÛÌÒAV on our webpages.

Our drop-in sessions are every Monday (virtual/in-person) and Wednesday (in-person) afternoons during term time.
The sessions are open to all students wanting to find out about opportunities to study and work overseas during your degree and the funding available to support you.Ìý
