With Easter nearly upon us, we spoke to 蜜桃AV鈥檚 Reverend Ruth Wells, to find out what Holy Week means to her. You can also聽.听听
"I had grand plans to immerse myself in the lead up to Easter 鈥� Holy Week聽鈥� in deep prayer and meditation. I have had glimmers of these, but as with most of my life, they are interrupted by the gritty reality of being human.
"This is so much of what Easter means to me though. The gritty reality of humanity as lived by the person of Jesus over 2000 years ago. For me, the death and resurrection of Jesus is a message of hope. A message which we see echoed in the changing of the seasons, life giving way to death giving way to life 鈥� the resurrection cycle.
"So as I approach Good Friday, through the silence of Holy Saturday where it seems all is lost, and watch the sunrise on Easter day around a fire 鈥� with friends and family 鈥� I celebrate that I believe Godself knows what it is to experience the joys and sorrows of human life. And I hope that life will again and again follow death."聽
