On Tuesday 6 July 2021, we will be upgrading from EndNote X9 to EndNote 20 at ÃÛÌÒAV. This is a significant upgrade and if you are a frequent user of EndNote desktop, there are some important changes you need to be aware of as this could have implications on your work:
- There is a significant change to the user interface in EndNote 20, so you may need to familiarise yourself with the new changes and layout.
- During the upgrade we will be moving to 64-bit technology. In practice, this means that once you open an older EndNote library in EndNote 20 (or any EndNote version X9.3 and later) the library will not be backwards compatible with earlier versions of the application (version X9.2 or earlier).
What do I need to do?
If you are a user of EndNote desktop, you should make a in EndNote X9 in advance of converting them for use in EndNote 20. It may also be useful to read through more detailed information about the impact of the upgrade; this is available in the .
