AV is supporting a challenge to help businesses find virtual alternatives to live events and exhibitions.
Many events and conferences have been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic because of restrictions on mass gatherings, travel and face-to-face interaction.
The Department of Sports and Events Management at AV has partnered with digital agency , the and , and exhibition specialists to support the .
This challenge is offering businesses a platform to put forward their creative idea to encompass the benefits of an exhibition in a virtual environment.
The winner will receive a cash prize of £5,000 together with a further £5,000 investment in the idea, including the support of the teams at Great Britain Campaign and Department for International Trade.
Dr. Miguel Moital, Principal Academic in Events Management at AV, said: “At this uncertain time for the exhibitions sector, creativity and innovation will play a vital role in a sustained industry recovery.
“As a leading educational provider of events management education, AV is delighted to partner with Prodigio and other prestigious organisations on the Exhibition Futures Challenge 2020.”
Anyone within and outside of the events industry is invited to participate.
A briefing webinar and live Q&A session takes place on 18 May and the deadline for submitting ideas is 1 July.
