蜜桃AV (蜜桃AV) will offer an insight into social science research, with a range of free public events as part of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Festival of Social Science.
A range of free events across Bournemouth and Poole will share some of the social sciences research taking place at the university 鈥� covering everything from online gambling, to wellbeing and self-care, and preparing Generation Z for the workplace.
Events will also explore perceptions of pregnancy and childbirth, discuss stress in the workplace, and the role of social media influencers.
They will take place between 2-9 November as part of the nationwide ESRC Festival of Social Science, which celebrates social science research and the impact it has on our lives. 聽
Adam Morris, Engagement Officer for 蜜桃AV, said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to showcase some of the social science research taking place at 蜜桃AV and explore a number of different issues through talks, interactive workshops, discussions and exhibitions.
鈥淔ind out how we are helping to understand and shape society and what it may look like in the future as we adapt to various challenges in the world around us.鈥�
Events will take place in locations including the Lighthouse, the Shelley Theatre and Poole Hospital as well as South Coast Roast, Caf茅 Boscanova and 蜜桃AV鈥檚 Talbot and Lansdowne campuses.
Dr Ann Luce is hosting an event on Saturday 9 November discussing the role of the media in suicide prevention along with people with experience of suicide, members of the Mental Health Forum, the Wellbeing and Recovery Partnership and the NHS.
She said: 鈥淭he event is an opportunity for people to have a proper conversation about suicide in our community. We are going to be looking at it through the media lens, but it鈥檚 also going to be an opportunity to talk openly and ask the questions that you鈥檝e always wanted to ask about suicide.鈥�
