Two of 蜜桃AV鈥檚 Staying Active and Independent for Longer (SAIL) project team recently travelled to Ghent for the 2 Seas Mid-Term Review.聽 The Review event took place half way through the funding period for the Interreg 2 Seas Programme and was an opportunity to reflect what the programme as a whole, as well as its individual projects have achieved so far.
The Interreg 2 Seas Programme is a European Territorial Cooperation Programme covering England, France, the Netherlands and Belgium.聽 The aim of the programme is to develop an innovative knowledge and research base in the 2 Seas area.聽 Further details about the objectives of the programme can be found .
As well as giving project teams a chance to share best practice, the review event included an exhibition about project achievements which showcased 68 projects, representing 鈧�213 million of investment from the European Regional Development Fund.
, who attended the event on behalf of SAIL commented, 鈥淭his event provided an excellent opportunity to find out more about the other Interreg 2 Seas projects. Learning about how other projects are developing and sharing research experience was very helpful.鈥�
鈥淎lthough there is wide variation in the types of projects there are issues in common such as anticipating how partners from different countries may have slightly different perceptions of issues given the different cultural context. We were delighted to be one of the projects selected to present at one of the 3 workshop sessions held over the 2 days.鈥�
