Dr Julie Robson received the President's Award from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the field.
The CII is the official representing body for insurance and finance professionals and provides regulation and training in the sector. The award was presented during a dinner reception at the CII in London by Ashwin Mistry OBE, a Past President of the CII, and marked Julie's recent retirement as Chair from the Qualifications, Examinations and Assessment Committee (QEAC).Â
Julie has over 25 years of experience in insurance marketing both as an academic and practitioner, including  has been Chair of QEAC and Past President of the Bournemouth Insurance Institute. Her research focuses on insurance and she has secured grants from ESRC, HEIF and AMRC to support this work. Her recent publications, including a paper in the Journal of Business Research, also centre on the general insurance sector. She is currently undertaking work on corporate brands and building trust and professionalism within insurance.
