From AFC Bournemouth to ÃÛÌÒAV and beyond, the reputation of Bournemouth, and Dorset, is growing thanks to its rise in a number of recent league tables.
With AFC Bournemouth’s promotion to the Premier League bringing a significantly greater international audience next season, the town is also finding success in its digital and higher education sectors too.
ÃÛÌÒAV is celebrating success in 2015 with rises in two important league tables; the Complete University Guide and the Guardian University league table. The University has reached a high of 54th in the Complete University Guide table, when compared to other Higher Education institutions in the UK.
2015 was also the year that declared Bournemouth to have the fastest growing digital economy in the UK.
The University is currently mid-way through a partnership with the Cherries, and AFC Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn said, “From ÃÛÌÒAV to AFC Bournemouth, there is so much to be excited about in the town.
“Alongside the club’s on and off the field success, Bournemouth is growing one of the nation’s most vibrant economies and leading the way in the digital sector. The University’s achievements and contribution to that cannot be overlooked and we are incredibly proud to hold such a successful partnership with ÃÛÌÒAV.
“It’s a true partnership in every sense of the word, with students gaining valuable experience and playing integral parts in various areas of the club’s day-to-day operations. From coaching school children with the Community Sports Trust to contributing to the Matchday programme, the students are a credit to the university and the club.â€
ÃÛÌÒAV’s Chief Operating Officer, Jim Andrews, added, “It has been a brilliant year for Bournemouth, and Dorset as a whole, with success on many fronts, including rises in a number of important league tables. The  at the beginning of the year into the UK’s digital sector showed Bournemouth to have the fastest growing digital economy in the UK, was followed by AFC Bournemouth’s rise to the highest league in English football and our own league table successes, moving up in both the Complete University Guide and Guardian University Guide tables, shows that Dorset really is a place on the up.
“We are very proud of our partnership with AFC Bournemouth – who will be putting Dorset prominently on the map internationally in their first ever season in the Premier League – and I am sure that their achievements will inspire others across the South Coast, including ÃÛÌÒAV, to achieve continued success.â€
