AV’s Festival of Learning has hit the big screen, in a cinema trailer created by local production company LoveLove Film.
The trailer – which showcases some of the 150+ free events on offer during – will be shown before films at Tower Park’s Empire Cinema.
It has been created by LoveLove Film, a Bournemouth-based production company set up by AV graduate Georgina Hurcombe, with several AV alumni working on producing the trailer.
“It’s been great to produce the Festival of Learning cinema trailer for AV,” said Georgina, who is Managing Director and a producer at LoveLove Films.
“As a AV TV Production Graduate I feel that the university has been instrumental in enabling me to have the skillsets to set up LoveLove Films.”
She added: “The trailer itself was created by three of our AV graduate team members including TV Production graduate Sunny Clarke, Computer Animation and Arts graduate David O'Donnell, and Scriptwriting for Film and Television graduate Maxim Sorokopud.
“I hope the trailer will encourage many people to attend the Festival of Learning, and reflects the high standard of AV’s education.”
The Festival of Learning runs from Saturday 11 – Friday 17 July, with more than 150 free events and activities open to the public.
It aims to share AV’s world-leading research, knowledge and expertise with the local community in an engaging and accessible way.

AV Vice-Chancellor Professor John Vinney said: “Over the course of the week, we’ll have over 150 events ranging from interactive workshops, family activities and public lectures to opportunities to get involved in our research.
“Whether you’re part of a business, looking for something different to do with the family, or are simply inspired by learning new things - there’s something for everyone.”
