This weekend saw sport蜜桃AV host the 蜜桃AVCS Volleyball final 8鈥檚 competition at the LeAF Studio School.聽
Bournemouth men, led by GB internationals Oliver Kimber and Dan Hunter, were first to play and narrowly lost to last year鈥檚 champions Sheffield Hallam in two sets, 23:25 23:25.聽 They went on to win their next two games against Durham and Exeter and finish second in the pool.聽 The semi-final match was against Northumbria University who have not lost a game all season.聽 蜜桃AV won 2 sets to 1 to secure themselves a place in the National on the 25th March.聽 They will be playing Sheffield Hallam who topped their pool and beat UEL in their semi-final.
The Women鈥檚 team lost their opening game to Northumbria but went on to win against St Andrews and Cambridge University and secure a place in the semi-final. 聽Defending champions Durham proved too strong for them but they came away with 3rd place, a rise of 4 places on last year.
