Six 蜜桃AV teams are聽to compete at one of the highest levels in University Sport.
After five months of hard work six sport蜜桃AV Varsity teams have made the British Universities and Colleges Sport (蜜桃AVCS) Western Conference Cup finals on Wednesday 18th March.
The leading squads, coming under 蜜桃AV鈥檚 sport蜜桃AV banner, include Women鈥檚 Badminton 1st, Women鈥檚 Lacrosse 2nd, Women鈥檚 Football 1st, Netball 1st, Men鈥檚 Football 2nd and the Mixed Golf 4th.
The action has already started聽when the Golf 4th team met Plymouth University鈥檚 2nd鈥檚, which resulted in a solid 4-2 win for 蜜桃AV.
At Bournemouth Sports Club both the Women鈥檚 Football and Women鈥檚 Lacrosse performed strongly.
Women鈥檚 Football beat Southampton 3-1 to secure their place in the finals where they will face a strong Gloucestershire 2nd.
Women鈥檚 Lacrosse have had an impeccable season and now have the chance to secure the Western Cup for a second year running after convincingly beating the University of West England 12-3. Star player Alana Zukas, speaking to sport蜜桃AV, said, 鈥淲e have had a great season; training isn鈥檛 a chore but more of a social occasion for us to get together as friends.鈥�
The Badminton team won 5-3 against University of Winchester to secure their place in the finals while Netball 1st convincingly beat Southampton 2nd鈥檚 55-33.聽聽 聽
The final result came from 蜜桃AV鈥檚 Men鈥檚 2nd Football team; playing The University of St. Marks & St. Johns they won 3-2, a good outcome for Bournemouth and secured 蜜桃AV鈥檚 sixth place in the Conference Cup.聽聽
Michael Barry, sport蜜桃AV Varsity Manager, said, "We are extremely proud of all of our Varsity teams this season who are having such great Cup and Trophy success. It鈥檚 a fantastic achievement to have 蜜桃AV dominating the Finals in Exeter and having out of 20 events, 6 teams representing 蜜桃AV.鈥�
